Senior Checkout

You're almost there seniors! It is almost time for check out. Senior day will be in the Resource Center (4762A Manzanita Ave Carmichael, CA 95608) on Wednesday, June 3, 8:30 to 4:00. Please try to make it there on Wednesday! If you have a computer, you must return it before you check out and make sure to bring your receipt with you to the Resource Center. Bring all books to the Resource Center to return.

There will be 3 community colleges represented: ARC, Sac City, and Folsom Lake College. There will also be vocational training programs such as CA Apprenticeship Program, ROP, SETA, the Armed Forces, CCC (California Conservation Corps.) and the US Forest Service represented.

There will be raffles throughout the day including gift certificates to some great local restaurants. Jamba Juice will be there to sell smoothies for $4 between 10:30am-2:00pm. Class of 2009 merchandise will also be on sale for students.

Folsom Lake College

Folsom Lake College is hosting a special event for new and prospective students to “Get Connected” . They will be able register early and take their assessments. Student and parent orientations, tour, counseling, and registration will be offered all on one day. Parents are welcome to attend.

Spring is here!

Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather and looking forward to summer. I know I am, but we still do have a month of work left! Keep working away on those assignments and get those grades up!

Seniors: You're almost there! You are doing a great job. I am so proud of you. Here is information about check out and graduation. I hope to see you all at the graduation ceremony.

VIE Commencement Ceremonies will be held on June 10, 2009 at Memorial Auditorium 1515 J St. Sacramento, CA. A mandatory rehearsal for all graduates will be held 1:00pm. Ceremony begins promptly at 3:00pm. Doors will open for guests with special needs at 2:15, and all other guests at 2:30pm. Please note that no balloons, air horns, or food/drink are permitted in Memorial Auditorium.

Senior check-out will be June 3-5, 8:30am-4:00pm at the VIE Resource Center located at 4762A Manzanita Ave Carmichael, CA 95608. At that time, caps and gowns will be available for $30.00. (cash only) Graduation announcements can be purchased through Jostens at www.shopjostens.com.
